My mute swan

Sings only in solitude

She swims holding up to a certain breath-taking altitude

Her thoughts about the world

Her perfect white

Sparks off the darkness

Creates golden sunsets that make common water lily leaves

Gleam like loved gold

Quietly considering you

In watery subterranean worlds

That speak in rhymes composed of the wisdom of seasons

Doubtless beyond reason

My mute swan

Has many songs inside

That sweep through the dawn and steal out at dusk

Collecting stars in a girdle

She rides the water

Like she flies the skies

Strong, tall, luminous with an inherent passion to survive

The end of the horizon
